Paddy Hopkirk Memorial Foundation Launches Global Fundraising Campaign to Honour Motorsport Legend Paddy Hopkirk, MBE.
The Paddy Hopkirk Memorial Foundation Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, proudly announces the official launch of its global fundraising campaign to create a life-sized bronze monument of Paddy Hopkirk MBE and his 1964 Monte Carlo–winning Mini Cooper “33 EJB.”
The sculpture, by acclaimed motorsports artist J. Paul Nesse, will stand at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, UK—celebrating one of motorsport’s most iconic moments and honoring the life of a true gentleman, champion rally and racing driver, businessman, and philanthropist.
“Paddy’s Monte Carlo victory captured the world’s imagination and inspired generations,” said Norman Nelson, President of the Foundation. “This monument will ensure that his story continues to inspire young drivers, engineers, and enthusiasts globally for generations.”
The project’s three-year plan includes design, bronze casting, shipping, and installation at the Museum entrance. All directors serve as unpaid volunteers, and 100% of donations go directly to the monument project.
